About FurSize
FurSize helps you pick the right harness or coat size for your dog on the first try. It is independent, and this page explains where every number comes from.
What FurSize is
A free sizing guide for dog harnesses and coats. The core idea is one number: your dog's chest girth in centimeters, which we call the FurSize number. Any brand's chart can be read against it.
The website is live today: calculators, brand charts and fit guides. The iPhone app and Chrome add-on, which keep your dog's card and check any chart you share, are not released yet.
Brand charts
Each chart on the brand size charts pages is copied from the maker's own product or size page. We open the page, copy the numbers, and show the link and the date we checked. We skip a brand if we cannot read its chart directly.
Makers change charts without notice, so confirm on the product page before you order. If you spot a number that no longer matches, tell us on the support page and we will fix it.
Weight estimates
The dog size calculator and the puppy weight calculator turn a weight into a rough chest figure with an early model. That model has not yet been calibrated on measured dogs, so the results are ranges, and they say so.
Short version: use the estimate to know which part of a chart to look at, then use a tape for the actual purchase.
What we do not do
We do not give veterinary advice, and nothing here replaces a vet's opinion on a harness for a dog with a medical issue. We do not take payment from brands to appear on a chart.

Is FurSize a shop or affiliated with a brand?
No. FurSize is independent. We do not sell harnesses and we are not affiliated with any brand named on this site. Brand names appear only to say which chart a number came from.
Why should I trust a chart on this site?
Every brand chart is copied from the maker's own page and checked by hand, with the link and date shown on the page. If a brand's page could not be read directly, we did not publish it.
